Pursuant to Senate standing order 38(7), I present to you an interim report of the Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport References Committee inquiry into biosecurity for Chinese apples and the Australia – United States cherry trade.

The committee was unable to complete its consideration of this matter prior to the election being called. The matter may be re-referred to the Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport References Committee in the new parliament.
