2025 Parliamentary sittings

Parliament was prorogued on 28 March and a general election was held on 3 May 2025. The opening of the 48th Parliament took place on 22 July. The sitting dates for the remainder of the year were agreed to by the House of Representatives on 22 July and the Senate on 23 July 2025.
