October 2016, the Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources,
Senator the Hon. Anne Ruston made a public interest immunity claim in relation to
these documents. This claim was made on the basis that such documents were
'prepared to assist Cabinet's deliberation' and that 'the confidentiality of
the Cabinet process' would be compromised by the release of these documents. Correspondence
received as additional information to the Rural and Regional Affairs and
Transport Committee's Supplementary Estimates 2016–17.
