Commonwealth Electoral Amendment (Integrity of Elections) Bill 2021

On 2 September 2021 the Senate referred the Commonwealth Electoral Amendment (Integrity of Elections) Bill 2021 for inquiry and report by Thursday, 14 October 2021.

The closing date for submissions is 20 September 2021.

The Bill seeks to amend the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 to provide for the routine auditing of the electronic component of Australian federal elections and the provision of voter identification. This bill does not cover referendums.
