The committee met and considered references not disposed of at the end of the 42nd Parliament and resolved to recommend to the Senate that:
- the following inquiries of the 42 nd Parliament be re-adopted:
- Inquiry into the Government's Green Loans Program, with a reporting date of 27 October 2010;
- Inquiry into Sustainable Management by the Commonwealth of Water Resources, with a reporting date of 7 October 2010; and
- The adequacy of protections for the privacy of Australians online, with a reporting date of 17 November 2010; and
- in respect of the matters to be referred to the committee, it have power to consider and use the records of the Environment, Communications and the Arts References Committee appointed in the previous parliament.
