Enhancing Online Safety for Children Bill 2014 [Provisions] and the Enhancing Online Safety for Children ( Consequential Amendments) Bill 2014 [Provisions]

On the 4th December 2014, the Senate referred the Enhancing Online Safety for Children Bill 2014 and Enhancing Online Safety for Children (Consequential Amendments) Bill 2014 to the Environment and Communications Legislation Committee for inquiry and report.

The closing date for submissions is 12 January 2015. The reporting date is 3 March 2015.

About this inquiry

This is the first legislation of this kind proposed in the Parliament.

Allow for public consultation, including with industry, community groups and education providers; enable public input into the impact of technological developments on this new area of law; and scrutiny of the practical issues surrounding the implementation of the scheme.
