On 28 June 2018, the then Prime Minister, the Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP, referred the Office of National Intelligence Bill 2018 and the Office of National Intelligence (Consequential and Transitional Provisions) Bill 2018 to the Committee for inquiry and report.
