The Joint Select Committee on Constitutional Recognition relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples is appointed by a resolution of appointment.
The Committee is due to produce an interim report by 30 July 2018 and a final report by 29 November 2018.
On 25 June 2018, the Senate referred the Bill to the committee for inquiry and report.
Submissions close on 10 August 2018
On 21 September 2016, the Special Minister of State, Senator the Hon Scott Ryan, asked the Committee to inquire into and report on all aspects of the 2016 Federal Election and related matters.
The Committee is conducting a review of political donations as part of its inquiry into the conduct of the 2016 federal election.
The Committee shall examine the support provided to members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) as they transition from active service to civilian life.
The Committee shall examine access to free trade agreements by small and medium sized enterprises for the export of goods and services
The Committee will inquire into the status of the human right to freedom of religion or belief.
These hearings will provide an opportunity for the Committee to ask the NCA about recent developments and plans for the National Capital, including the status of current and proposed works.
As part of the committee’s role to inquire into the implementation, performance and governance of the NDIS, the committee will inquire into and report on the provision of assistive technology.
