Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit is conducting an inquiry into matters contained and associated with Auditor-General’s Reports 19 and 22 (2019-20)
On 29 July 2019 the Minister for Finance, Senator the Hon Mathias Cormann, asked the Committee to inquire into and report on all aspects of the conduct of the 2019 Federal election and matters related thereto.
The Committee will examine the merits of expanding membership of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). The CPTPP has currently has a membership of 11 countries, including Australia.
The Committee shall examine the conditions necessary to strengthen Australia's relationships with the countries of the Pacific region to meet current and emerging opportunities and risks facing the region
The Committee shall examine the use of targeted sanctions to address human rights abuses.
An inquiry into the business case for the National Broadband Network (NBN) and the experiences of small businesses.
This inquiry will inquire into and report on the Australia-Singapore Digital Economy Agreement (Canberra and Singapore, 6 August 2020).
