On 29 July 2019 the Minister for Finance, Senator the Hon Mathias Cormann, asked the Committee to inquire into and report on all aspects of the conduct of the 2019 Federal election and matters related thereto.
The Committee shall examine the conditions necessary to strengthen Australia's relationships with the countries of the Pacific region to meet current and emerging opportunities and risks facing the region

The Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security (PJCIS) has commenced a review into the effectiveness of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation Amendment Bill 2020. The bill review was referred to the Committee by the Hon Peter Dutton MP, Minister for Home Affairs.
