Overall conclusion

The Committee is satisfied that appropriate processes have been followed and concludes that Islamic State East Asia meets the definition of a terrorist organisation, namely that the organisation:
is directly or indirectly engaged in, preparing, planning or assisting in or fostering the doing of a terrorist act; or
advocates the doing of a terrorist act.
The Committee therefore supports the listing of Islamic State East Asia under the Criminal Code and finds no reason to disallow the legislative instrument.
