On 23 July 2025 the Senate restored the Remuneration Tribunal Amendment (There For Public Service, Not Profit) Bill 2025 to the notice paper and referred the bill for inquiry and report.

On 30 October 2025, the Senate agreed to seek an extension of the final report to 12 March 2026.
