Inquiry into the Electoral and Referendum Amendment (Electoral Integrity and Other Measures) Bill 2005
Information about the inquiry
On 8 February 2006 the Senate referred the provisions of the Electoral and Referendum Amendment (Electoral Integrity and Other Measures) Bill 2005 to the Finance and Public Administration Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 27 March 2006. Major provisions in the bill include proof of identity requirements, timing of closure of and access to the electoral rolls, nomination deposits, party registration, franchise of prisoners and the funding and disclosure scheme.
Submissions should be received by 24 February 2006 and can be sent to fpa.sen@aph.gov.au.
