On 18 February 2021, the Senate referred the provisions of the Treasury Laws Amendment (Your Future, Your Super) Bill 2021 to the Senate Economics Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 22 April 2021.

The committee requests an extension of time to report until 29 April 2021 to allow it to consider the evidence received and to conclude its deliberations.
