Care and management of younger and older Australians living with dementia and behavioural and psychiatric symptoms of dementia (BPSD)

On 28 February 2013 the Senate referred the dementia care inquiry to the Senate Community Affairs Committees for inquiry and report.

Submissions were sought by 03 May 2013. The reporting date was 26 June 2013. On 18 June 2013, the Senate granted an extension of time for reporting until 12 August 2013. On 14 November 2013 the matter was re-referred to the committee by the Senate of the 44th Parliament, for inquiry and report by 28 February 2014. On 24 February 2014, the Senate granted an extension of time for reporting until 19 March 2014. On 4 March 2014, the Senate granted an extension of time for reporting until 26 March 2014.

  1. the scope and adequacy of the different models of community;
  2. resourcing of those models of care; and
