About this inquiry

This bill implements the Government’s election commitment to reduce compliance costs imposed on the financial services industry by amending Part 7.7A of the Corporations Act.
Part 7.7A is also referred to as Future of Financial Advice (FOFA).
The Senate Economics Legislation Committee reported on a previous iteration of the bill on 16 June 2014.
