The Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit yesterday presented its Annual Report 2018-19, which showcases the work of its predecessor committee of the 45th Parliament. The report also includes a recommendation for the coordination of government responses including executive minutes to the committee’s reports in line with current practice across the Government. The report is presented to the Parliament pursuant to section 8B of the Public Accounts and Audit Committee Act 1951. Ms Lucy Wicks MP, Chair of the Committee, said, ‘The recommendation included in the Annual Report 2018-19 will bring the process of coordinating government responses for the public accounts and audit committee, including executive minutes, into line with common practice. This would enable the Committee to consider government responses in a timely and streamlined way.’ Further information about the Committee is available on its website.
