On 2 October 2014 the Senate referred the following matter for inquiry and report by the first sitting day in March 2015.

An inquiry into the performance and management of electricity network companies.

The closing date for submissions was 21 November 2014.

The committee have agreed to extend the date for the closing of submissions to 18 December 2014.

On 2 March 2015 the Senate granted an extension of time to report until 20 April 2015.

The committee presented an interim report on 20 April 2015. The committee presented a second interim report on 5 May 2015.

The final report is due to report on 5 June 2015.
