On 24 November 2022, the Senate resolved to establish a Select Committee on Foreign Interference through Social Media to inquire into and report on the risk posed to Australia’s democracy by foreign interference through social media.

The submissions closing date is 17 February 2023.

The committee is to present its final report by 1 August 2023.

The tabling of the final report on 1 August 2023 concludes the work of the committee.
