On 27 October 2022, the Senate referred the provisions of the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Secure Jobs, Better Pay) Bill to the Senate Education and Employment Legislation Committee (committee) for inquiry and report by 17 November 2022.

The committee requests an extension to report until 22 November 2022 to allow the committee time to consider the evidence received and to conclude its deliberations.
