On 18 June 2020, the Senate referred the Aged Care Legislation Amendment (Financial Transparency) Bill 2020 to the Senate Community Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report.

Submissions were sought by 31 July 2020. The reporting date is 23 November 2020. The reporting date has been extended to 18 March 2021. The reporting date has been further extended to 24 June 2021.

The Committee extended its reporting date to take into account the findings of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety in its consideration of the Bill.

The Committee is now inviting further submissions on this Bill, including submissions from organisations and individuals who have already provided evidence, and requests that these are provided by 30 April 2021.
