On 5 December 2019, the Senate referred the National Consumer Credit Protection Amendment (Small Amount Credit Contract and Consumer Lease Reforms) Bill 2019 (No. 2) for inquiry and report by 6 April 2020. Following a resolution of the committee, and in accordance with the motion agreed by the Senate on 23 March 2020, the reporting date for the inquiry has been extended to 21 September 2020.
