Register of Members’ qualifications – 47th Parliament

Members’ qualifications relating to sections 44 and 45 of the Constitution

In accordance with the resolution of the House adopted on 4 April 2019, the Register of Membersʼ qualifications is established and it comprises:

  • material tabled on behalf of the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) in accordance with s. 181B of Part XIV of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 in respect of members elected on 18 May 2019;
  • statements provided by Members attesting to the accuracy and completeness of the material they provided to the AEC; and
  • supplementary material, if any, provided by Members to augment, explain or correct information contained in the material provided to the AEC or relating to inaccuracy on the Register.

The Register of Members' qualifications will be published below when available.

Note: when a Member ceases to hold office as a Member of the House of Representatives their information is no longer published.

About the Register of Members' qualifications

On 4 April 2019, the House agreed to a resolution requiring each Member to provide a statement in relation to their qualifications under sections 44 and 45 of the Constitution to the Registrar of Members' Interests. In the statement the Member must attest to the accuracy and completeness of the material provided to the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) in respect of the Member's last nomination for election.
