Inquiry into the Auditor-General's reports on Tasmanian Forestry Grants Programs - Interim Report
Dear Mr President
The findings of the Auditor-General's audit report no. 26 of 2007-08, Performance Audit Tasmanian forest industry development and assistance programs, and the
Auditor-General's audit report no. 22 of 2012-13, Administration of the Tasmanian Forests Intergovernmental Agreement Contractors Voluntary Exit Grants Program were referred to the Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport Reference Committee by the Senate on 19 March 2013, for reporting on 6 May 2013.
The Committee has received 13 submissions, and plans to hold a public hearing in Canberra, on Tuesday, 7 May 2013.
The Committee wishes to extend this reporting date to 11 June 2013. This would allow it to fully consider the findings of the Auditor-General's reports, to engage stakeholders effectively, and conclude its deliberations.
