Crimes Legislation Amendment (Sexual Crimes Against Children and Community Protection Measures) Bill 2019 [Provisions]

On 12 September 2019 the Senate referred the provisions of Crimes Legislation Amendment (Sexual Crimes Against Children and Community Protection Measures) Bill 2019 to the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 7 November 2019.

The deadline for submissions to the inquiry is 30 September 2019.

About this inquiry

The bill would amend the Crimes Act 1914 and the Criminal Code Act 1995 to legislate a series of measures designed to protect the rights of children, in particular the right of children to be protected from sexual abuse.
