Inquiry into the Provisions of the Migration Amendment (Judicial Review) Bill 2004

On 30 March 2004, the Senate referred the provisions of the Migration Amendment (Judicial Review) Bill 2004 to the Senate Legal and Constitutional Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 15 June 2004.

The Bill amends the Migration Act 1958 by defining a privative clause decision for purposes other than the grounds of judicial review and thus restores key procedural elements of the migration judicial review scheme.
