As a matter of comity between the Houses of Parliament, neither House
inquires into the operations of the other House. For this reason, neither the
annual report of, nor the proposed expenditure for, the Department of the House
of Representatives is referred to a Senate committee for review.

Section 2 of the PGPA Act concerning commencement, provides for
provisions 6 to 112 of the Act to commence on 'A single day to be fixed by
Proclamation. However, if the commencement of the provision(s) is not fixed by
Proclamation before 1 July 2014, the provision(s) commence on 1 July 2014.'
