On 29 October 2009 the Senate referred the Energy Efficient Homes Package (ceiling insulation) to the Environment, Communications and the Arts References Committee for inquiry and report by 30 March 2010.
The Senate has extended the reporting date to 2 July 2010.
The committee held hearings on 17 February, 22 February, 26 February, 17 March and 25 March 2010.
Due to the need to obtain and thoroughly consider the responses to its questions and in order to fully inform the deliberations on its report, the committee intends to table its final report by 15 July 2010.
