The organisation of ace provision in the states and territories
The ACE landscape, as described in Cinderella, has been significantly
and permanently altered by the changes and developments in national policies
and structural arrangements described in earlier chapters. Although all
State and Territory governments have adopted the national vocational education
and training agenda, there are striking differences in the degree to which
each has integrated ACE into its policy and practice. This chapter presents
a snapshot of arrangements in place in each State and Territory and the
approach that governments have taken towards promoting and supporting
ACE. The information relies upon material provided to the Committee by
State and Territory governments in the form of submissions, evidence at
public hearings and annual and other reports published by relevant government
departments.
