[1]        This report uses the term 'property spruikers' generically to refer to unscrupulous operators, marketeers and promoters of property investment schemes.

Consumer Affairs Victoria described rent-to-buy schemes as one that targets lower income consumers or prospective buyers who are unable to obtain mainstream finance.
