The Senate, on the recommendation of the
Selection of Bills Committee, has referred the provisions of the above
Bill to the Committee for inquiry and report by 10 October 2006.

The
Committee invites written submissions relating to the Bill which should be
lodged by Friday, 22 September 2006. The Committee prefers to receive
submissions electronically as an attached document - email:

The Committee intends
to hold a public hearing on the Bill in Melbourne on 29 September and in
Canberra on 4 October 2006.
