About this inquiry

Section 243 of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 sets out the Committee’s duties. These duties include oversight of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). In fulfillment of this statutory duty, the committee holds regular public hearings with ASIC and reports its findings to parliament.
