On 26 March 2015, the following matter was referred to the Finance and Public Administration Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 13 May 2015:
The proposed Parliament House security upgrade works, including perimeter fencing, internal infrastructure changes and CCTV cameras, with particular reference to:
- security and safety considerations;
- project management;
- value for money;
- design integrity;
- heritage impact;
- moral rights;
- impacts on building occupants and visitors; and
- any related matters.
Submission closing date is 24 April 2015. The reporting date is 13 May 2015. On 12 May 2015, the Senate granted an extension of time for reporting until 25 June 2015.
