Vaccine related fraud and security risks

On 17 March 2021, the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Law Enforcement (committee) resolved to inquire into and report on COVID-19 vaccine related fraud and security risks.

On 26 August 2021, the committee tabled an interim report, which can be found on the Australian Parliament House website. In its interim report, the committee indicated that it intended to present its final report by February 2022, after the committee had further reviewed the fraud and security risks that may arise as systems for proving vaccination status are rolled out.

The committee is renewing its call for written submissions, and requests that submissions be received by Friday, 29 October 2021.

The committee is particularly interested in hearing evidence regarding fraud risks related to proof of COVID-19 vaccination status, although it welcomes all submissions addressing the inquiry terms of reference.
