On Thursday, 25 July 2019 the Assistant Minister for Children and Families, Hon Michelle Landry MP, asked the Committee to inquire into and report on matters affecting Regional Australia.

The submission deadline has now been closed. The Committee previously invited interested persons and organisations to make submissions in relation to the terms of reference, by Friday, 8 November 2019. Submissions to the inquiry were re-opened to provide interested persons and organisations an opportunity to submit an updated submission.

The Committee’s final report was tabled in the House of Representatives on Thursday, 31 March 2022. The tabling of the final report concluded the Committee's work, and the Committee was then dissolved.
