Committee to discuss Indigenous job opportunities

The Indigenous Affairs Committee will hear from the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE) this Thursday as part of its inquiry into pathways and participation opportunities for Indigenous Australians in employment and business.

Committee Chair, Julian Leeser MP, noted that one of the Department’s key responsibilities is managing employment service provision, and that these services have assisted thousands of Indigenous Australians with job opportunities.

‘The Committee looks forward to discussing the Department’s Indigenous procurement policies and its tendering processes for Indigenous employment services.’ Mr Leeser said.
