Inquiry into the provisions of the Autonomous Sanctions Bill 2010

Information about the Inquiry

On 26 May 2010 the Senate referred the Autonomous Sanctions Bill 2010 for inquiry and report.

The Autonomous Sanctions Bill 2010 was introduced into the House of Representatives and in accordance with a resolution passed by the Senate on 13 May, the provisions of the bill were referred to the committee for inquiry and report.

Written submissions are called as soon as possible within the next few weeks.

Submissions should be received by 30 June 2010. The reporting date is 15 June 2010. On 15 June 2010,the Senate granted an extension of time for reporting until 26 August 2010.

The Committee is seeking written submissions from interested individuals and organisations preferably in electronic form submitted online or sent by email to fadt.sen@aph.gov.au as an attached Adobe PDF or MS Word format document. The email must include full postal address and contact details.
