  1. The committee met in private session on Wednesday, 17 June 2020 at 7.24 pm.
  2. The committee recommends that—
    1. Aged Care Legislation Amendment (Financial Transparency) Bill 2020 be referred immediately to the Community Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 23 November 2020;
    2. the Banking Amendment (Deposits) Bill 2020 be referred immediately to the Economics Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 10 August 2020 (see appendix 1 for a statement of reasons for referral);
    3. the provisions of the Biosecurity Amendment (Traveller Declarations and Other Measures) Bill 2020 be referred immediately to the Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 30 July 2020 (see appendix 2 for a statement of reasons for referral); and
    4. the Commonwealth Electoral Amendment (Banning Dirty Donations) Bill 2020 be referred immediately to the Finance and Public Administration Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by the second sitting day of March 2021 (see appendix 3 for a statement of reasons for referral).
  3. The committee recommends that the following bills not be referred to committees:
    • Broadcasting Services Amendment (Regional Commercial Radio and Other Measures) Bill 2020
    • Commonwealth Electoral Amendment (Ensuring Fair Representation of the Northern Territory) Bill 2020
