Terms of reference

This review is conducted under Section 110.7 of the Schedule to the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Criminal Code), which provides (in part) the following:

1This section applies in relation to the following legislative instruments:

1. a regulation that specifies an organisation for the purposes of the definition of state sponsor of terrorism in section 110.3 subsection (1);

2The Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security may:

1. review the legislative instrument at any time; and

2. report the Committee’s comments and recommendations to each House of the Parliament.

This report pertains to the Committee’s review of the below regulation, which specifies the named organisation for the purposes of the definition of ‘state sponsor of terrorism’ in subsection 110.3(1) of the Criminal Code:
