The committee has decided to examine this instrument as
part of its examination of the Stronger Futures package of legislation.
Purpose of the instrument
2.3
This determination amends the Schooling Requirement Determination to
provide for factors the Secretary must have regard to when determining whether
special circumstances apply that justify a person’s failure to comply with an
attendance plan or compliance notice, or enter into a school attendance plan or
in determining the date of effect of an arrears payment.
