The Parliamentary Joint Committee on Law Enforcement has a statutory duty to monitor and to review the performance by the AFP of its functions. Pursuant to the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Law Enforcement Act 2010, this includes examining each annual report on the AFP and reporting to the Parliament on any matter appearing in, or arising out of, the annual report.
