Inquiry into racism, hate and violence directed at Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

The Joint Standing Committee on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs adopted an inquiry into racism, hate and violence directed at Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People on 4 March 2026, following a referral from the Minister for Indigenous Australians, Senator the Hon Malarndirri McCarthy.
 

Advice for people sending information for the inquiry

The committee would like you to send in your submission by 1 May 2026.

You can send your submission in writing, or you can send using another format—such as a video, photos, audio, or artwork.

Please email your submission to rhvinquiry@aph.gov.au, post it to the address below, or upload it on this page.

Your submission should talk about one or more of the Terms of Reference.

Please do not include anything that is threatening or hateful. The committee may remove any threatening or hateful material before your submission is published or may choose not to publish it.

If needed, we may talk with you about how to keep your identity, or someone else’s identity, private. You can also tell us if you want your submission to be kept confidential.
