Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas (Import Levy) Act 1995
to: apply, in addition to existing levies imposed by the Act, an equivalent carbon charge to the import of synthetic greenhouse gases (SCGs) and equipment which contains SCG; provide for exemptions from the levy or the carbon price component of the levy in certain circumstances; and amend the long title of the Act.

Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006
to replace the state and Northern Territory based Designated Authorities with the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (which will replace the National Offshore Petroleum Safety Authority and have extended functions) and the National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator (located within the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism) to administer and regulate petroleum and greenhouse gas storage operations in Commonwealth waters in the Australian offshore area. Also repeals the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Annual Fees) Act 2006
and Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Registration Fees) Act 2006
and makes amendments consequential on these repeals.
