Product Stewardship (Oil) Act 2000
to exempt certain multi-use oils and uses of multi-use oils from the Product Stewardship (Oil) levy by creating a new category of benefit which will be paid for uses of certain oils as approved by the Minister; and Product Grants and Benefits Administration Act 2000
to make consequential amendments to enable the new category claimants to register for benefits. Also contains a transitional provision.

Bills and committees
The House of Representatives Selection Committee and the Senate Selection of Bills Committee routinely consider whether bills should be referred to committees for inquiry and report. The House Committee reports its determinations to the chamber, while the Senate Committee makes recommendations which the Senate may then adopt. Bills may also be referred to committees by either chamber or by the relevant minister to House and joint committees.
