to provide that: rolls are closed seven days after the issue of the writ for an election; provisional voters are not required to provide evidence of identity; electors can update their enrolment details electronically; the Australian Electoral Commission may process enrolment transactions outside the division for which the person is enrolling; and pre-poll votes cast in an elector’s home division can be cast and counted as ordinary votes; and Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918
to restrict the number of candidates that can be endorsed by a political party in each division.

Bills and committees
The House of Representatives Selection Committee and the Senate Selection of Bills Committee routinely consider whether bills should be referred to committees for inquiry and report.
