New website design

Welcome to the new-look Parliament of Australia website.

The Department of Parliamentary Services has worked extensively with the Department of the Senate, the Department of the House of Representatives, the Parliamentary Budget Office and the Parliamentary Library to develop the new design. This design streamlines the navigation options to allow users to quickly and easily locate content.

While the way information is presented has changed, the structure of the site remains the same – so any bookmarks you have to pages on the website will continue to function.

Some new features

Users can now track committees and committee inquiries through My Parliament. If you are already a My Parliament user, simply navigate to a committee or inquiry you are interested in and press the Track button. By tracking a committee you will receive email notifications of new inquiries. You can then choose to track these inquiries. Tracking an inquiry will provide you with email notifications regarding hearings, submissions, media releases, and report tabling.

Remember, you can also track Senators and Members and Bills the same way to receive notifications of any updates. If you aren’t a My parliament user you can create an account when you click the Track button.

We have also recently improved the live video streaming feature that broadcasts the chambers, committees and special events so they can now be viewed on computers, phones and tablets.
