Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders (Queensland Discriminatory Laws) Act 1975 This act was passed by the Whitlam Government, using the race powers, to override Queensland laws which discriminated against indigenous peoples, including the use of courts on reserves where the same official acted as judge and prosecutor. No federal Government ever enforced this act
