For this review of the Defence Annual Report (DAR), the Defence Sub-Committee has resolved to inquire into the following topics:

• Submarine capability
  Status of implementation of recommendations from the Coles Report.


• Defence Materiel Organisation and Capability Development Group
  Review of Capability Development Improvement Program initiatives and Test and Evaluation support.


• Asset management
  Management of land and facilities.
  Major capital facilities program.


• Defence Cooperation Program
  Status of the program, particularly the Pacific Patrol Boat program.


• Air combat capability
  The independent review of the New Air Combat Capability and associated reporting.
