Romeo & Juliet pop-up performances

Experience Shakespeare like never before with a series of free and intimate pop-up performances of Romeo & Juliet at Australian Parliament House. Performed in the iconic Marble Foyer, actors Madeline Li and Ryan Hodson from theatre company Bell Shakespeare will bring this tragic love story to life.

Offering a fresh and accessible take on a classic, the actors will perform scenes without props to allow the raw emotion and timeless dialogue shine.

Audiences will experience 3 iconic moments from the play:
• the first meeting (1 min)
• the famous balcony scene (6 min)
• the lovers’ farewell (4 min).

Each scene will be performed twice with a short break in between.
