Living and working in Meanjin/Brisbane, Claudia Moodoonuthi (Kaiadilt people) explores connection to country, family, language and history in her artistic practice. She was raised by her grandmother on Bentinck and Mornington Islands in the Gulf of Carpentaria, relocating to Aurukun in the Cape York Peninsula in 2003. Her work has been included in major exhibitions nationally and she has undertaken major commissions including with Artbank and the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, and MECCA Cosmetica and the National Gallery of Victoria.
