On 22 June 2023, the Senate referred the provisions of the Treasury Laws Amendment (Making Multinationals Pay Their Fair Share—Integrity and Transparency) Bill 2023 to the Senate Economics Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 31 August 2023.

The committee requests an extension of time to report until 22 September 2023 to allow it to consider the evidence received and to conclude its deliberations.
